I am interested in how spaces and materials can be experienced in relation to each other as images, independent of their functionality and anecdotal background. I focus on the interface where the real, the appearance of matter itself, intersects with the imaginary. I am interested in the dividing line between what is an image and what is not, whether it represents something or nothing. By starting from the formality of spaces, things and materials, I want to keep language, which always carries a reference, at bay. The moment an image can speak for itself, conjectures of meanings to be experienced reveal themselves.
